We started in 1995 from volunteer work with “Big Brother, Big Sister” program in one of the orphanages in Kiev, Ukraine. The time of being an older “brother”, “sister”, a “mentor”, the only person who manifested a volunteer care for a lonely little kid has profoundly revealed us the inner world of the orphanages, the hopes and disappointments, little joys and everyday struggle of abandoned children:
Every woman, who cares for them,
Every woman, who enters the room,
Will be “MA-MA!”…
Their hopes are to hear again
Someone’s calling them back: “I am here,
My daughter, my son, I’m YOUR mama”…
Few years later, together with one of the American adoption agencies we have developed a successful international adoption program. Coordinating many adoptions from all over Ukraine, we have witnessed a number of amazing life stories. We noticed that every adoption story is like a pregnancy story, it is not a simple journey to a child, but after all it is full of blessings and is worth of every effort put into it.
When in 2002, as a family, we moved to North America, we have continued helping families and several agencies with adoptions. Meeting other professionals of the field, our colleagues in adoption services has become our blessing; together we have expended our knowledge and expertise in developing new humanitarian projects and adoption programs. We realize that our attainments of the adoption procedures and various details are not just our precious possession; as many people need our knowledge, we are happy to share. Our team of adoption consultants and foreign-country facilitators continues to look for new adoption possibilities, changes, law updates and coordinates our programs immediately in the new streams.
We believe in the well-thought programs combined with the individual approach. Our attitude toward what we do for our adoptive parents is based on the determination to provide all what is crucial for the successful adoption plus add our hearts and thoughts in each case. We know exactly what it takes to make a family complete, for we have seen many times that, for an international adoption to be successful, it takes much more that just to find a referral with a cute picture.
We see our role as to guide families through the process with expertise of many adoptions saving adoptive parents from mistakes, stress and, ultimately, from wasting extra time and money.
